Last year we stayed at Camping Les Peneyrals, approx 15-20 min drive from Sarlat. It was very accessible to the nearby stoneage cavesites, the Dordogne for canoeing, cycling routes and several monkey forest/tree wire places.

The site was very friendly, had good evening entertainment, a nice bar & restaurant and several waterslides. Our kids were 9 & 7 and loved it.

And we stayed in one of their 5* cabins, which was great.

HTH good luck!

We stayed at Domaine des Mathevies in September last year. Gorgeous, small site, family run. They have a selection of pitches, cabins/mobile homes, as well as two gites. We stayed in one of the gites (which was just outside the camp grounds), it was just the two of us and our 2 year old, but was enough room for 5 in total.
Although we were in a house, we used the communal loos during the day time, as we were using the pool, bar and kids play room on the site. Lots of space for kids to play, including play equipment, sand pits, a tree house, as well as an indoor room with loads of toys.
Small bar area, able to order bread/pastries to collect in the mornings, as well as get coffee during the day. Each night we were there they had a different "food truck" come and do evening meals.
I would thoroughly recommend, we thought it was very reasonably priced, very friendly, and a perfect holiday for us!
