Unfortunately haven't been but I noticed that Travel Republic and Freedom Direct websites have lots of 5 star hotels there, including this one. (In case you haven't looked there )

thanks winterpimms. we're now thinking this one looks nice .

my Marrakesh recommendtaions are far from 5-star, but would recommend a riad in the medina rather than a flash hotel in the ville nouvelle if you want to feel like you're in Morroco. Most don't have pools though (less of an issue in feb than in the summer).

Just googling 'riad' gives you five, all of which look exquisite...

thanks mrsb. yes, the first idea was dp's, i'm heading much more towards a riad. the 2nd one i linked to does have a pool. and is reccommended by the lonely planet as child friendly....

oh yes, that second one much better than the first.

Been to the Jardins with a six month old and can highly recommend. Bring your monitor as the hotel's small enough for it to work in the bar, and there are babysitters galore

ooh, we're off to marrakech for a family wedding in march. do let us know how you get on. we are staying at my grandmother's house. it wont be 5 star, but it will be the real thing! agree with mrs badger about riads. there a few on holiday-rentals.com

Idreamofdaleks · 19/04/2007 17:44

what was it like?
