Menorca places to stay?!

I've never been to this area of the world before and am worried about too many high rise hotels and commercialism. Are there quaint, or pretty areas of the island which aren't over run with Brits Abroads? Looking for a family friendly area with sandy beaches! Thanks!!

We stayed in Cala Blanca a few years ago. It's a modern resort rather than a traditional village, but it was small and quiet.

When I first went to Menorca, there was a local ruling that meant no high rise hotels could be built. That was a long time ago, but from perusing brochures online, I don't think it's got much more commericalised tbh.

Cala Galdana is my favourite, but I love them all really. Fab place. CG has sandy beach and only about 3 hotels around it.

We stayed in Binibeca which was quite a small resort.

We stayed in Punta Prima. Another small, quiet resort about 20 minutes from the airport. Nice beach and a couple of playgrounds for kids
