how about swimming? You can do that more than once!

I've joined the local leisure centre and drop my kids off at the softplay area/creche and my DH and I play squash, following by a family swim.

Then Sundays we either see friends, do chores or go for a long walk over the downs and have a lunch out

we've been doing museums and art galleries - did the Tate modern last weekend (great fun). Now mine are back at school, the parties have started again so they'll take up an inordinate amount of time.

You don't have to go out every weekend; sometimes the kids like to stay in and play, do a bit of painting, etc...
