Snorkelling holiday in Sardinia

We are thinking of going to Sardinia during school summer holidays and Dcs (10, 12, 14) would like to spend some time snorkelling. Any recommendations as best places to go for that and also walking (Dh and I) accommodation would be greatly appreciated

We went to Porto Rotundo last year august with our young teens.It was great snorkelling, the sea is so pretty there.

We found the beaches were not any thing special and most of the good ones you had to pay quite a lot to hire a sun bed.

We hired a 1 bed flat of Airbnb to make the costs cheaper. it was about 1K for 1 week.

We found it very expensive when we got there. we only ate out a couple of times. we were spending about 85 euros for 4 pizzas and 4 non alcoholic drinks.

My 12 year old loved it but my 15 year old was bored.
we also made the mistake of not hiring a car.
