Whitstable/Kent Coast - where to stay?

I'm looking for recommendations of a lovely hotel or restaurant or cottage etc on the Kent Coast.

I have 24 hours to spend free of children and I'd like to make the most of it. I've heard Whitstable is lovely so I was thinking of going there.

Can anyone suggest a hotel or place to eat. Or alternatively, somewhere else in that part of the world?

There is The Marine hotel in Whitstable. Never stayed there but I've been there for weddings etc.

There is a nearby restaurant called Jo Jo's which I've heard good things about. There are plenty of other places to eat in Whitstable but maybe check when they open online. The Saltmarsh at The Duke of Cumberland is also supposed to be lovely.
