last minute long haul sun recommendations please

looking to go away with 5 yr old and 7 yr old somewhere warm, beachy and preferably slightly exotic but on fairly tight budget for 10 days to 2 weeks prob just after xmas. Impossible dream? Suggestions/recommendations please.

trinidad and tobago from mid jan is fine - would avoid beginning of jan as it is usually still raining!
