Where is the best place to currently exchange pounds to Euros? Anyone know?

M&S usually has a good rate

assuming it is not physical cash, you can sometimes get a good rate at Travelex to pick up at the airport. But book in advance, the walk-up rate will be awful.

Post office usually gives a good rate. Are you in London ...there are some fabulous FX boths in the city that offer much higher rates than the high street but really not worth a journey if you are only buying a few hundred euros for a holiday.

I usually do it in Sainsburys. I get a better rate be use I hVe a Necar card and I get points

The Post Office buys back any notes you haven't spent at the same rate of exchange, so that might be worth considering.

Is it to put in a Christmas card for a family member? In that case, why not get a rechargeable Visa cashcard which you can top up from your end and they can use in Euros in their own country? My 83yo DM now does that (with a bit of help from her tech-savvy neighbour) after decades of trotting to a post office and sending cash in birthday cards.

Go to moneysavingexpert and they have a holiday money maximiser, you pit in how much you want to spend and it tells you the best rate, far better than going into the high st.

Travelex, if you have time to order it online and collect it another day.
