Houston & Dallas for a few days with toddlers

Can anyone recommend places to go, eat, see in either Houston or Dallas for a few days? I've got a 14 month old and a 27 month old, both very active so somewhere to tire them out if possible! We have a car so distance is not an issue.

I've lived in Houston for 2 years, there's lots to do with toddlers. Try the zoo, the childrens museum and the museum of natural history (with the butterfly centre) for starters. Lots of good playparks, this is a great site for ideas too. Where will you stay and when are you coming? Weather varies a lot, and Houston is over 600 square miles ....
