childs first passport - how long currently is the wait?

Application form sent off for new baby's passport last Wednesday 19th, Really hoping to get away around the 4th September. Does anyone know the current waiting time for these to be processed?

Not sure about currently, but this time last year I did baby DS's and it came back within a week. I sent my renewal off at the same time and that also came back at the same time.

I did one a few weeks ago and it was back very quickly. Within a week, I think. Nothing like the 3 weeks they tell you it'll be.

We applied for baby DS's in Oct last year and it also took just about a week.

They received our forms on a monday, passports arrived on the friday - that was just 2 weeks ago so you should be fine. Have you had a text confirming arrival of the forms yet?

I did my dc's first passport 3 weeks ago. Was advised it would take up to 6 weeks but received it within a week. I didn't get the text confirming arrival of the forms though despite my post office telling me I would.
