Easy self catering holiday with 1 year old.

Looking for advice!

We want a sunny September holiday flying out of Glasgow or Edinburgh.

We really just want to take the baby & stroller so looking for somewhere with an easy quick transfer from the airport, with enough to to do for a week without needing to hire a car to get elsewhere. Looking for self catering not a hotel room so we can put the boy to bed at his usual time, make our own dinner & relax with a glass of wine!

Any thoughts?

Carvoeiro in the algarve would fit the bill - I'm biased, I live here, but you don't need a car if you get an apartment in the centre of the village, 45 minutes from Faro, nice sandy beach, wide choice of restaurants, shops etc and the weather will still be nice in September
