Should I get a new photo ID

I am traveling to Europe this September with my family for a family function. We are getting the papers ready, and it's my son's first travel abroad so we have to get his passport ready. And while discussing about this my husband expressed a concern whether I should get a new photo ID because I had undergone a tip rhinoplasty couple of months back. The change is so prominent but still what if the face detector in the airport doesn't detect my face. Should I get another ID? Have anyone here got another ID after a cosmetic surgery?

Re the face detector are you referring to IRIS; you will not be able to use that anyway because you are travelling with your child. Only people over the age of 18 can use IRIS, you will line up when you return to the UK and see a UK Border officer.
