To fulfil a travelling dream?

I have always wanted to travel, but having my first child at 18 I put all my dreams back to bed & figured I would wake them up when my children were adults & try & pick up where I left off.
However, a failed relationship, a new amazing partner & a second beautiful child later I'm trying to regain some of 'me'. I have realised I can have my dreams (& my partners) with our children, or at least we hope we can!
Ideally we want 18 months - 2 years living in Australia, then the same again in New Zealand, after that we will decide if we want to come home or not. My partner has a well paid job which allows me to be a stay at home mum. One child will be 7 the other just under 2 when we leave if all goes to plan!
So my question is, have you ever travelled with children & how did you manage? Have you made these moves or similar with two children in roughly the same circumstances? How did you find the moving around was on the children especially with schooling? & how did you find being a stay at home mum in a new country?

your first question is 'will they let me in'?

you can't have a working holiday visa with dependents, even if you are young enough. So you'll need to go on whatever other type of visa works which means the job must be on the wanted list.

that's the hard one. All other problems are solvable.

BTW if you are out of the UK for more than a few months, remember you will have no access to any government support on your return. Come home with money for private renting and savings to support you.
