Center Parcs in Germany - which one and how to get there?

Trying to plan a trip to CP in Germany next Easter, but cannot decide between the parcs. Has anyone been to them, and if so would you recommend them, and how did you get there?

Or of there is an alternative in Germany that I am missing?

I know of them but have never been because I cannot face the hours in the car. Bostalsee is the newest I think? Heide has a theme park nearby?
I know I went on trip advisor and some reviews put me off...and that it is not the same parent company as the UK.
There are loads of Kinderhotels/Hotels auf dem Bauernhof...but I have done that once and felt ripped off. Can thoroughly recommend Lake Constance though. Also camping at Tripsdrill (treehouses/caravans).
Depends where you are flying into or are you driving and if so, from where to which region?
Also...there is a German living overseas thread on here, let me find it and I will direct them to this thread. Or wait for it to pop up briefly in Active.

We did a trip with landal green parks to Germany . Site was warsberg. Very similar to cp . Lovely clean accommodation , pretty good facilities and a chair lift running down to the local town . Really nice family time was had. Also did landal in holland which was good too though houses weren't as nice - pool was fab though. Certainly worth a look

Hello! Just popped over from the Germany thread Smile

We went to the Bostalsee park last summer & really enjoyed it. I think we paid about â?¬300 for a long weekend for 3 adults & 1 child. DS loved the swimming pools & there's a little beach on the lake which is part of the complex, so we got to spend the day at the beach, playing, eating ice cream etc even though we're really hours away from the coast.
We drove there, but we live in Germany. It's probably about 2-2.5 hours by car from Frankfurt airport & less from Frankfurt-Hahn. A few different groups of friends of ours have been there too & they all enjoyed it too. It's a fairly new park, it only opened in summer 2013.

Oh and if you wanted to do a day trip it's not too far from Trier.

we went to the one in Eifel, though it was a few years back, and very out of season (we were driving through horizontal snow to get there!), so it was cheap.... We liked it. The accommodation was a little worn we thought, but then it was cheap! The pool and other activities were good, and there's a lot to see in the region. link

Having said that, it was our one and only visit to a Centerparc in Germany. Given how so many towns have really excellent swimming pools (that goes for Austria too), many good and reasonable places to eat, cycling etc, it didn't really seem worth going to a CP. There are other holiday type parks that aren't CP, but tbh we just use a holiday house/flat as a base.

And we've always flown then driven.
