Volvo 850 carseat???

Hi there, Have an old M reg Volvo 850 Estate which is mostly used by DH. The seat belts are all really short - has anyone any idea if there are any Stage 0 (newborn) carseats that fit? I checked the Britax website and they don't do a carry around one that will fit and have contacted Volvo but still waiting on a reply. Any advice would be most gratefully received. Thanks, C.

I would go somewhere and try out the seats - halfords maybe?

The britax seats generally have two possible routings for the seat belt so you can fix them with a shorter belt if necessary

Guess thats the way to do it - just a pain in the @rse as will have to take 2 cars as the car seat we have only fits in my car. Not that I don't trust DH - would just rather be there too

Maybe some with a two part system - ie plastic base which you strap in, and the infant seat snaps onto that IYSWIM ?

Thanks. I'll give that a try too - sure one of my friends has a car seat like that.

Just really fustrated that a family car like a Volvo has such "unchild car seat friendly" seat belts.. huff, puff...

dh (volvo technician) says volvo do their own car seats, which are britax, so they should come back to you with help.
