Just as the thread title says - going end of November for about 5 nights to celebrate my 50th. Only about three of us girls going, so looking for ideas on what to see and do whilst there.
What I'm thinking is: shopping, sightseeing, eating and possible show whilst there.
Any ideas about accommodation? Thinking we'll probably just need somewhere to sleep, and eat out (including breakfast). Where is good to look online for well-priced deals?
It will be around Thanksgiving too, so maybe other things to do?
In terms of sightseeing, I'm thinking (top of head, things I've seen recommended) - 9/11, Empire State building, Grand Central Station, Staten Island Ferry. I'm not really one for history and museums.
Eating - Would like to try typical NY fare (not fancy-pants mega-expensive stuff)
Shopping - where is best for clothes, makeup, gifts etc?
Show - would fit one in whilst there if there was time. Not top of my list.
