Holiday with 3 year old and no buggy

We're off to Minorca for a week. Staying self catering in a central location, close to the beach. No plans to do much more than sleep, eat and swim.

Our last umbrella fold buggy broke after the last holiday. We have an out and about nipper which is a fabulous buggy but not an umbrella fold.

So two questions. Would we be able to take the nipper buggy on the plane?

Would you risk not having a buggy at all? We did use it a bit last time but a lot of the time youngest refused to sleep in it. So while we saw some parents out late with children sleeping in buggies that wasn't us.

I could easily sell this buggy but am really worried I will regret it come holiday time.

I didn't take a buggy last year when youngest was only just 3; it didn't even occur to us tbh as he wouldn't sleep in one, we have older kids anyway so the whole deal people make of staying out really late with kid asleep in buggy wouldn't have worked even if he had, and we took his balance bike for getting about the big Eurocamp type campsite (and were glad we did as he played on it for hours in front of the caravans with a little friend he made).

I'd say unless you plan to do a lot of walking sightseeing, or he sleeps in a buggy (neither of which apply to you) you don't need a buggy on the holiday you describe. You could almost certainly take a Nipper though - but probably as checked hold luggage, and might have to take it to check in as oversized.

I'd say unless

Right I'm feeling reassured not to bother with the buggy at all. The balance bike makes me wonder whether taking her scooter might be an idea. Could easily pack it in the suitcase. She's not the heaviest of three year olds so if all else fails she can be picked up.
