Hi, has anyone flown Air New Zealand, LHR->LAX? Do you know what they have on board tv wise? and what "enhanced economy" is? (We will be flying with a 5 1/2 and 4 year old)
Thanks

Flow both ways to NZ with these. Last time with a 3.5mth baby. Don't know enhanced economy but you do get individual TVs and they do have the most legroom. Gave us row of seats when travelling with child even though flight quite full. Very considerate. No problems

Oh No!!

The plane journey is only part of it; the worst bit by far will be the transitting through LAX. Its bloody awful there at the best of times. You will have immigration forms to fill in even though you will not actually set foot in the US proper. Did you know there is a set procedure that all pax transitting through LAX to New Zealand must follow?. Have a look at Air NZ's website. The transit lounge at LAX is grim and you will not be able to leave it for the duration of the transfer. Basic facilities like food/drink are sometimes provided and if you need a toilet you will have to ask the Air NZ ground crew for assistance.

TBH if you haven't already booked it I would seriously consider flying east instead.

Don't panic - our destination is LAX (which I agree is grim, but not as bad as Chicago!)

Glad to read that your final destination is LAX, thought you were going to sit in the horrid transit lounge!!.

having seem too much of lax airport waiting for connecting US flights, I can imagine the transit lounge is pretty bad!
