I wouldn't hesitate to take kids to either.

They're not theme parks, but they have loads to explore, interesting stuff, lots to see. What's not to like? Smile

Yes! Went to Hampton Court the other week. Wonderful - met Anne Boleyn' Henry viii and cardinal Wolsey. Lovely grounds, family trails to follow. Fabulous!

They're both great but the interactive people in costume at Hampton court is great for kids.

They will likely think Kew is just a big fancy park Grin

I haven't been to Kew in ages but Hampton Court is great for children. They often have things going on during the holidays or weekends.

Hampton Court is a full day out I find.

I agree Hampton is brilliant with costumed guides and several areas focus on 'horrible histories' type info which really appeals to my 7yo. It's a full day, especially if it's sunny. At Kew there's the treetop walkway now which makes it more kid friendly. Kew also have a Shaun the Sheep thing going on over Easter that looks tempting.

Have done both with my kids, hampton age 6, kew age 5. Hampton court fantastic, actors wandering round, kids can wear velvet cloaks all day, kids trails, maze, deer park grounds, etc etc. wonderful. Kew was more open grassland with not so much to see, I was disappointed Betty lack of flowers and kids were disappointed with treetop walk. Glasshouses are good.
Of the two I would do hampton court.
Get blue peter badges for free entry or use tesco vouchers.
Tower of London brilliant if you haven't done that
