Hello,

Looking for a camp suiting a family of 4 (7 &10).

Driving from London

Needs to have a water park or pool at a minimum

Somewhere where there are at least a couple of day trips or villages to explore as well.

Any favourites?

Where do you want to go? How long do you want to be driving for?

Newhere2 · 28/02/2015 11:00

if we can drive there is a day leaving london early around 6 then that is fine.

On destination we've done close french villages to calais (say 4 hours drive )

Open to where people think is good

Check out Duinrell in Holland.. We have booked for Oct half term.

The dordogne is beautiful, we're going back this year to the same site as last year as we loved it so much and there's loads to do. Mine are 6 and 10 and and love their French holidays :)

We're staying at la palombiere near sarlat. I can't vouch for eurocamp as we go with canvas (who are brilliant!)

Have a look on the camping board on here.. Loads of mumsnetters do the French exodus every year.

La Palombiere with Canvas holidays - one of our most favourite holidays ever!!

thank you both La Palombiere and Duinrell look like exactly what our family needs, a good break for us all! I'll research them both a bit more and come back :)

Duinrell.
Hire bikes at Duinrell and cycle to The Hague.
Inside the human body experience in Leiden (I think it was).
Gallery devoted to MC Escher in the Hague.
Not too far from Delft either.
Also consider booking a Duingalow at Duinrell rather than using Eurocamp. I think the accommodation is better. If you are going May Half term then good as is not a holiday in Holland.

Sarlat is an awful lot further than Duinrell.

thanks Sutton, i'll check out Duingalow at Duinrell

thinking more of July....

Another one saying Duinrell. We've been twice & the dc (10 & &) are always asking when we can go again. we booked a duingalow direct.
