Austrian Alps this summer. Go with package holiday or DIY?

If you have been to Austrian Alps in the summer, did you book it up yourself or go with a package? Looking for tips. DD is 13 and only child so we would want somewhere with other kids her age, but she is likely to refuse to go to a kids club! She is an outdoor type so will love all the activities but we want her to meet other kids. Plus she has been studying German this school year so not too worried about language. Any recommendations/advice welcome. I've read on here that flying to Munich is cheaper than flying to Salzburg. We are near Gatwick airport.

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to this but have spent the last few hours looking at flights etc. I did consider Landal Rehrenberg but I don't think it has Wifi in the accomodation and I am not doing that again with DD (16). My DS is younger and think he will get a lot out if it but struggling to find suitable accomodation,

There are Kinderhotels you might want to look at which get good write ups on here but won't help if she won't do a kids club. I really want to go now having soent hours readung about it but need the accomodation.
