Help me choose which Brittany campsite?!

My head's spinning after reading so many reviews I now can't make a decision.

My shortlist:

Sunélia L'Atlantique
Les Deux Fontaines
Domaine de Kerlann
La Pointe St Giles

We'll be staying in a mobile home in August, with a 1 and 4 year old (actually they'll be nearly 2 and 5 by then)

Does anyone know any of the above campsites and have any thoughts?

Or, know any better ones I'm missing?

I have tried booking a few already, only to find they're already fully booked.
My first choice initially was Yelloh! Les Mouettes.

So the above list is mainly based on availability, as well as appearing good.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome!

We haven't been to any of these, but camping Pte Gilles is in Benodet and we have stayed in a different benodet campsite (Camping Du Poulquer) two years running with 2 young dcs (this year 3dcs) & really enjoyed it. Benodet is a great holiday town with lots of beaches (including rock pool beaches beside the river) and has several good campsites close to the town & beaches.

been to les deux which we enjoyed. eurocamp (green and red log) had nice roomy pitches that were in a quiet position. you can walk through farmland to a nice beach. also another good beach about 10 mins drive away - like cornwall.

weren't that keen on benodet area - but it had rained a lot and i think washed fertiliser off the fields - at least a lot of the beaches smelled - which i guess isn't normal.

we also love the carnac area - to be honest thats our favourite area. and the weather is slightly better than further north

We have stayed at L'Atlantique and Les Mouettes, to be honest we found Les Mouettes to be in a different league to L'Atlantique, amazing water park, beautiful landscaping, fabulous surrounding area. The beach it's on is not a swimming beach though, unlike L'Atlantique which is on a beautiful beach. When we were there in august, the water was freezing and unbearable even to dip your toes in though!

We enjoyed L'Atlantique and nearby Benodet and had some lovely walks on the coastal path. The water park at L'Atlantique was freezing cold too, and quite crowded, but there was a great indoor play barn which DD loved. We hired bikes there, and there's a fab network of flat cycle paths all around.

Carantec was too hilly for my youngest to cycle around, so in that respect L'Atlantique was better.

By the way, have you tried different companies for availability? We went with Venue to L'Atlantique, and direct with Yelloh to Les Mouettes, but there are many different operators in each park.

I know it's not on your list but we stayed at le Ranolien which is a Yelloh site. It was fabulous and the surrounding area was beautiful. The pink granite coast was brilliant for rock pools and walks. If I remember, Eurocamp, Canvas and Yelloh themselves all did cabins on site.

Thank you for your comments. I'm the end I did what animagic suggests and tried a different company and they did have availability!

So we're off to les mouettes after all. I'm really excited, and I'm pleased to hear you enjoyed it.

I was going to suggest Les Mouettes. We had our first European camping with children there last August and had a great time despite the awful weather. We were in a tent and booked direct with the site. The holiday homes looked very nice. My two were 6 and 3 and loved it.

Ive been to l'atlantique, and its in a lovely spot, because you walk through a nature reserve, and get to a BEAUTIFUL white sand beach.
The park itself is not all singing and dancing, but it IS one of the sites that eurocamp does free kids clubs, free swimming lessons and cycling lessons for kids, and its an absolutely gorgeous part of brittany
