I haven't got a London connections map handy, but no, Essex Road station isn't on the Silverlink north London line. The nearest stations on that line are Highbury, Canonbury or Caledonian Road & Barnsbury. The Essex Road line is run by WAGN and goes from one of the City stations (possibly Moorgate) up through Finsbury Park to somewhere like Enfield or Hertford.

If you google WAGN or Silverlink you should be able to get the routes.

And Essex Road is Islington, dahhling, not Hoxton or Dalston, god forbid.
