Tunisia/Hammermet in mid October

Hi all,

Has anyone been to Tunisia that can share there experiences? Anyone been in October, is it warm enough? Did it rain?

Looking to book for next year in mid October with the DH and our DS that will be nearly 2 and a half. But never been and would like to pick the brains of some faithful mumsnet experience/knowledge.

Thanks

Rained one day, wore t shirts, outdoor pool too cold. Love, love, love Tunisia. Be prepared for your child to be worshipped!

We went in mid-October. Weather was fine for us - mostly sun but occasional rain and cloud. Wasn't baking hot but perfect for a little one I'd think. Loved the hotel (Hammamet has a great choice of nice hotels). Not that bothered about Hammamet itself but did a nice trip to a vineyard and nearby historic city.

Thanks ladies, both those comments actually made me change my mind, and we have now booked for Egypt instead. I just really want to frolic in the pool with DS and if it's cold (the pool) it will be hard to entertain him. So I'm going for guaranteed sunshine instead, maybe Tunisia the year after a bit more of a sunny month.
Thanks again.
