Suitable rendezvous in Oxford Street, London

I'm meeting a friend for coffee then lunch next week and we're meeting initially at Oxford Circus tube station. Without needing to walk far from there, we want to go somewhere we can sit comfortably in nice surroundings for 2-3 hours without feeling we should move on...we've a lot of catching up to do! Can anyone recommend anywhere?

Selfridges Has a cafe upstairs.

The Nordic bakery in Golden Square is lovely. Nearest tube is piccadilly circus but it's not a long walk from Oxford St. Oxford St itself is a bit of a hellhole for meeting up IME!

Liberty's has a nice cafe. Or if you walk down into Soho a bit, The Breakfast Club on D'Arblay St is lovely but get there early as it's usually busy. Or if you don't mind a bit echoey, there's a Paul on Great Marlborough St.

The Riding House Cafe is lovely for a long leisurely lunch and is nearby but not on Oxford Street itself and therefore a bit less noisy & bustley.

Ping Pong is good. Never made to feel rushed there. It is just past Carnaby Street.

You MUST go to Sketch on Curzon Street just off Regents Street. It's fabulous. The toilets alone are amazing.

Oxford Circus tube station has multiple exits and can be heaving with people regardless of time of day. I would suggest that you therefore meet your friend outside one of the nearby stores like Niketown or TopShop for instance.

Sketch in Conduit Street, jut off Regent Street. Pricy but great. Second Liberty and Nordic too.
