Planning a trip in November with DD who is 2 and would love any hotel recommendations. If there is good childcare, so much the better!

Thanks. Smile

Sorry. Haven't. But planning on heading that way with 14-month DS in May for an international-family get-together.

So shameless place-marking to piggy back on your thread.

Yes we have and it was great. The locals loved the children and couldn't do enough for them. What Island are you thinking of visiting?

Yes - we took DS to Barbados when he was 21 months (oh the days of being able to holiday outside school holidays...). It was brilliant. Went to Almond Beach Village, all inclusive including a nursery which we used a couple of times.

We really don't mind which island we go to Miss. They all look pretty gorgeous so I think it will hang on a hotel rather than location. We've been to St.Lucia pre DD so would be nice to try somewhere else, but apart from that we're flexible. Good to know locals are keen on kids. Smile

Thank you, I will check out Almond Beach fairground. So lovely to be able to travel out of school holidays, especially as we are smarting at having to pay for DD's flight now she's 2!

Glorious and tango hopefully we'll get lots of suggestions! Grin

Ps sorry for delay in coming back, DD woke up from her nap and had a huge tantrum because I wasn't DH (who is at work!) Hmm

Even more excited by sun loungers now.

Yes, the Tamarind Hotel in Barbados is amazing for children. It is on the calm West Coast and has a fantastic kids club and is very popular with the British (so plenty of little friends to make). I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It has a sister hotel, Turtle Beach that is all inclusive, but is on the choppier Southern tip.

I think almond beach resorts no longer exist?

Op do check that kids clubs take 2 year olds as many in the Caribbean start at age 3 or 4, I think the hotels mentioned above may not take two year olds.

We went to Windjammer Landing in St Lucia with 12-month old and had a fantastic time.
This was over 6 years ago, but remains v memorable. Didn't use kids club, but met lots of families that did and were b happy with it.
