Hi I am visiting HMP Belmarsh. I will be arriving at Euston then I've decided to walk as far as London Bridge station as I intend to arrive at Euston early and don't have to be at Belmarsh until 1.30. Please can anyone tell me if this is doable and if so what sights might I see on the way? Just trying to make a pleasant day of it rather than just the visit ??

It's easily do-able (about 3 miles).

How early is the early arrival?

Hi TorrieLou

This might help you: www.mylondonmap.com/

It is doable if you like walking because it will be a long walk (a couple of hours???) so wear flat, comfortable shoes!!!!

You could either do the 'peripheral' route going round the A501 and City Road or take a more 'inland' route via Scala, down the A201 and then towards the Barbican, Farringdon, Museum of London, St Pauls' etc....

Good luck!

I guess it takes about an hour of pure walking.
Lots of sights, if you go this week the weather is still nice.

hi thanks very much for replying. I need to arrive by 1.15 and I'll be out at 3 and will head back again walking and will stop somewhere to eat.
