4th birthday day out ideas black forest, Germany

Hi. We are currently away in Europe and will be spending my sons 4th birthday next week at a campsite near Steinach, black forest. Would like him to have a nice child friendly birthday and just wondering if anyone could offer any day out ideas not too far away. Considering europa park but not sure if it is a bit full on / too old for a four year old? Thanks

Fun parks should be ok as school children will be at school and lots of pre-schoolers go to Kindergarten 5x a week.

Stuttgart has a great zoo, the Wilhelmina.

Thanks but I've had a look at the zoo and it says it would be one hour 50 minutes from camping kinzigtal to the zoo which would be a bit far. Can you recommend anywhere else?

Europa Park is beautiful and has plenty for little ones. You can take the bus from Freiburg station

Europa park has lots for little kids. The shows are good too.
