I am hoping to travel to Ibiza for summer hols 2015, can anyone recommend a nice place for families (DS 4 and 6), quiet and pretty, with nice beaches and restaurants? But not near Saint Antonia?

Portinatx

Cala Llonga

Cala Llenya

Santa Eulalia or Es cana if you like it a bit busier, but nothing like San Antonio

Ibiza is a fabulous place.

foxdongle · 15/09/2014 12:30

We've been to Portinatx twice loved it.
We stayed at the El Greco -right on the beach and has its own mini water park. Was AI though.

I went to Portinatx (in 1999). It was lovely and quiet with a lovely beach.

I've stayed in both Cala Llenya and Santa Eualalia with kids around that age, it's been great. We were in Cala Llenya with a 9,6 and 3 year old this year. We hung about the pool, went to the beach, got the bus about - it was bliss Smile

Cala Llenya and Santa Eulalia.

Both totally fabulous.
GOD I TOTALLY LOVE IBIZA!! Grin
Can you tell? Wink

AnyFucker · 16/09/2014 10:42

me too, oblomov

I have been about a dozen times over the years Smile

Es Canar is incredibly family friendly, we stayed there last year. This year we stayed in Santa Eulalia which is busier but equally friendly. I've been 5 times and me and the kids love it.

any thoughts ?

WiseGuysHighRise · 17/09/2014 19:57

Agree with es canar and Santa Eulalia. Both lovely. Haven't been anywhere else. Also, I might be wrong, but I think San Antonio bay and San Antonio are separate so you can be on the "sunset" side if the island without being in San Antonio itself. Check that though - I could be wrong.

Ibiza is such a beautiful place. I know literally no-one who has been disappointed there. I've never felt so chilled and in love with the world on holiday.

AnyFucker · 17/09/2014 20:12

There is also Puerto San Miguel on the "sunset" side that is very quiet and very chilled

MrsDumbledore · 17/09/2014 20:26

Went to portinatx with our 4yo dd this year. Stayed in Paradise Beach. Absolutely lovely- Chilled, pretty and idealfor young families. .

AnyFucker · 17/09/2014 21:22

Club Portinatx is fab. Has it's own private beach and beach bar. Lovely food (all inclusive) and free water sports. My lot went off canoeing with a guide every day.

RonaldMcDonald · 17/09/2014 21:39

Cala Vadella

AnyFucker · 17/09/2014 21:42

wow, Ron, not been there

looks great

RonaldMcDonald · 17/09/2014 21:46

Cala Tarida

Sa Caleta

RonaldMcDonald · 17/09/2014 21:51

I'm in Ibiza a few times a year every year for ever and ever
I could be a tripadvisor lol

fairyfuckwings · 17/09/2014 21:55

Another vote for cala llenya or santa eulalia! I found portinatx a bit too quite and not really that near to anywhere. Cala llonga is nice. I thought es cana was a bit shabby to be honest. Ibiza town is beautiful too.

Love Ibiza! It's the nicest of the balearics in my opinion.

RonaldMcDonald · 17/09/2014 21:55

Aquas Blanca

Wishfulmakeupping · 17/09/2014 21:57

Yy to puerto San Miguel beautiful place the beach is lovely. We stayed at the San Miguel hotel which was a thompson family hotel it was good option for families lots of activities and entertainment on and different restaurants to eat in the hotel.
