Can anyone recommend a really nice little hotel or B&B with good food near a beach that takes dogs too...

Dh, dd the dog and I would like a weekend away soon

Would like to be 2hrs or less from London if poss but a little further fine

Would like to be near a secluded beach

Don't want childcare or any special child things, she can share our bed (so i guess we need a large bed!)

Must be really comfortable and nice and have very good food

TIA

CD - dunno about the rooms at the Priory - I know it has been refurbished recently, but parts are still a little faded glory. It has pulled away from Fawlty Towers status though. The food was good when I ate there a couple of years ago and the setting is breathtaking. There is a path down to the beach, which is one of my all time favourites. And no entertainment..... Food wise you can't beat the Seaview.

There's another hotel in Studland (called the Studland Bay Hotel, possibly?) which I've never been to, but have heard that it's very good. So if you like Studland...

what about Bailiffscourt Hotel in Sussex. Not 100% sure on the dog welcome though.

Overwater Hall in the Lakes is too far away for you this time but maybe one to consider for the future. It's next on our list of places to go - hopefully we'll have a dog by then as it seems de rigueur to have one!

Ds has been promised a puppy from the litter of a friend's Black Lab, hopefully in Spring! I wanted a Border Terrier but was overruled by ds and dp. Really looking forward to it but will mean some changes, though tbh most things we do & places we go are dog-friendly.

I will probably go down on Friday to pick peppers & squash, let me know what time you'll be there & we can have a nosey at each other's plots!

Have you seen this website? There's a place on the Isle of Wight.
