No idea what to do for Oct holidays.

15th to 23rd Oct or part of.

Me, DH and 2 kids 7 and 9 yrs.

Budget £500 approx.

We are based in Scotland but anywhere UK or Europe.

We love paris but no cheap flights that fit that well. Hate Haven type stuff, but don't mind a caravan as a base. Relaxing hoilday with a couple of places nearby to visit. Or full on city break. Don't want kids clubs or loads of brits abroad. Like the idea of a lovely cosy log cabin with woodland walks and safe enough to turn the kids out for the afternoon.

Basicly open to all ideas apart from sunbathing on a crowded beach in the med. Not likely for £500 anyway .

Might have been if it wasn't so expensive and all booked up, still a bit crammed in perhaps but thats just my perception.

We got cheap ryanair flights from Prestwick to Oslo in the October week last year, and we had a great time there. Not sure what the prices are like now though. Unless you get flights for virtually nothing, it can be an expensive break because everything is so dear there.

Thanks Mrs Muddle tried different destinations but no good prices for the dates we want, even for Paris. I was considering soemwhere else like that.

I think we will go for a full week in a relaxing cottege/ lodge. Just need to find one that doesn't look like a granny has just moved out.

We have just booked for Center Parcs in Penrith with Hoseasons. Half the price of the CP website!

I will have a look I found that with a caravan park we were at last week, the park said they were full but I got a van through hoseasons and it was cheaper.
