If I love Puerto Mogan. ..

...where else will I love?

We've had some bad news and need a holiday - will be 2 adults and a 3yo.

We've stayed in Puerto Mogan twice previously and loved it, but we're looking to travel in September now so we may not need to travel so far.

We like self catering with access to a village or town with restaurants. A beach would be good, as would a pool. A kids club may be a luxury as generally 3yo s can't go.

Can any one recommend somewhere for September? We've been to Koutouloufari in Crewe and liked that too, and a colleague likes Portugal but we've never been.

Do you have any suggestions?

Portugal is lovely, we stayed at Qunita do Paraiso in Cavoeiro which was great, self catering villas, some with pools, but part of a complex with larger pools, kids club, mini golf, restsurant etc. walking distance of pretty beach with good choice of restaurants, but not built up.

Menorca is also lovely, we particularly like Playa de Fornells, beautiful estate, lots of private apartments to rent, a couple of aparthotels, and about three restaurants on the estate. Longish walk or short drive to Fornells, which is a picturesque fishing village with plenty of seafood restaurants, a small park and a few tourist shops. Very Menorquian, lots of Spanish families, and really pretty to stroll round the harbour in the evening.

Ooh thank you. Cavoeiro is where my colleague goes (I couldn't work out how to spell it!) and she loves it. That sounds gorgeous.

Ooh, was just looking at Puerto Mogan for a holiday in Feb/March. We also have a 3 yr old. Where do you recommend staying?
