Hello. For his birthday my dad would like to go to Whitstable for a day out with the family (7 in total). I'm organising and need some wisdom from mumsnetters about nice birthday type places to eat in Whistable. It does not have to be very posh bit good quality food and nice atmosphere.
Many thanks Smile

JoJos, though it's just up the road a bit in Tankerton.

Jojis is ok but most likely to be fully booked and its ££££ the duke of cumberland does amazing food. Either bar food or their restuarant is supposed to be excellent. There is no menu though ;) ye olde sportsman in sea salter serves michelin quality food. Youll need to book and its expensive but a real treat. There is a weaterspoons that is surprisingly good. If you like fish then the oyster fishery is good. Also east quay in the harbour. It can be stinky sometimes though.

Do2be put off by the decor in the duke of cumberland. Its taken shabby chic to extremes nut the food is anything but.

Thanks very much. I will investigate further.
