Syros, Naxos or Costa Brava?

I am searching the net for a cheapie one week hol in May: anyone have any views on Syros in Greece, Naxos (Aghia Anna or Aghios Georgis), or Tamariu on the Costa Brava? We like small friendly local restaurants and bars, a good beach (for DS, 2yrs), maybe some nice walks, good atmosphere, not too hectic or built up, relaxing.

Anyone?

Ooooh, Beety, if you're a fan that's good enough for me! Have found a good deal on the 'net to those places, but will check your suggestion...

I have found a package for an apartment in Anna, fly to Mykonos and Hydrofoil from there, £219 each. No I have never been to Naxos - or the Costa Brava, (other source of last minute cheapies)but have loved Paxos, Crete, Lindos (before it went crazy) Symi, parts of the Peloppenese.

For a week, don't want to spend too much time schleppping about on independent transport connections, with toddler...
