Holidays by the Sea - North

We are looking for a last minute few days away in the next two weeks. Somewhere nice but has to be by the sea. I don't want to travel to far with a new born prehaps 1-2hour. Does anybody have any suggestions for the North of the UK? I think self-catering with all the stuff we will need to take with us.

Hi Amy- Know exactly what its like with a new born, self catering is definitely the way to go. Have you ever been to Whitby? We stayed just outside there in the Easter hols. First couple of nights we stayed at our friends but then we moved on to a really gorgeous cottage within a place called Raithwaite Estate 2 miles or so from Whitby and literally on the beach. The cottage was amazing and had loads of room for all the kids stuff. We were able to cook when we wanted or use the restaurants and bars on the site.All very kid friendly and there's a pool! It is a treat but if you're wanting some r&r its perfect!
