If you have a car, go to Monkeyworld. It's massive and kids love it. It's half an hour's drive from poole in Wareham, Dorset.

My kids love poole park, lots of slides and a train etc and an indoor play area if it is raining. there is a steam railway that runs to Swanage from outside Poole. The sealife centre at Weymouth is fun but a bit of a drive.

Sandbanks beach is fab, Take scooters with you if you can fit in the car then dd's can scooter on the prom. My boys love monkey world.

The aquarium at bournemouth is very good also.

How old are your girls?

Brownsea Island - red squirrels and peacocks everywhere and oystercatchers on the beach.
