Mousses, Lefkas. Travel Agent?

rabbitrabbit · 09/09/2006 16:54

Hello,

I've read so much on here about Mousses that we're really keen to go next year. Are Simply Travel the only agent for these villas? Or are they just the best?

Thanks

Good point, hadn't thought about mozzies. What were they like at the villas? Do they have nets or fly screens on the windows?

fly screens on windows but not downstair patio doors but a couple of little mozzie machine/plugs with a new tablet each night keeps the blighters at bay!! Ask Simon the rep if your house doesn't have any mozzie plugs.

Will be cooler now so not so many around??

Simon will also give you a couple of extra beach towels so don't take any at all. Also, babies/kids in creche get a great UVA t-shirt so don't buy those either.

Get in quick with babysitting requests - seems to be a stipid rule this year about 2 staff babysitting together so places are limited.

COD what a good idea to take a cafetire - will text Simon and tell him to ask Eleni to put in the houses for next year. will make all the difference to breakfast!!!!!

Have a great time!!

They'd ditched the two babysitter rule when we were there.

You could always call Eleni directly. I have her home number if you need it.

Hello, started this and have only checked back in now!
Am a bit confused about the mention of houses and villas? The listing on Simply's website for Mousses gives you a list of different apartments or villas?

I've just been quote for 2 wks in Mousses Melmopene - has anyone stayed in that apt?

Thanks

There are 12 apartments - essentially little town houses - with use of a large communal pool. Two of these are stand alone, the rest are semi-detached. There are also two separate, stand alone villas in the grounds - Villa Castor and Villa Pollox. Both have their own pool but also allow you access to the communal facilities. Does that help? If you know what number your villa is I can tell you bit more about where it is situated, but am sure the Smiths will know them by name.

willow2 · 19/09/2006 10:12

The villas are in their own, private grounds, btw.

Game, set and match...

willow2 · 19/09/2006 10:18

Smiths - when did you go? Just wondering if paths crossed.

RanToTheHills · 19/09/2006 10:19

the coffee at the bar is wonderful, btw! Just never ready before about 10 or so so not good if you need it to kick start an early morning.

willow2 · 19/09/2006 10:26

Aha, another Mousses junkie breaks cover...

rabbitrabbit · 19/09/2006 14:04

Thanks Willow-the woman at Simply said Melpomene was just by the pool (though would assume they all are?) but that there was a fence to ensure children couldn't just run out...ring any bells for anyone?
Thanks

we went in june and sept year before and years ago before the creche/club was built!!

I'd really call them houses - doesn't apartment make you think there will be someone upstairs or downstairs. as willow says they are houses some detached and some semi-detached

The names are lovely but really hard to remember!! Strangely number 10 is first!! 10 to 6 are nearest the pool with number 5 to 1 being a little further away.

Girls are doing 2 houses together to get round the 2 staff rule.

the creche & club were great but it was the babysitting that was the icing on the cake!!! The girls and Simon make it a wonderful holiday - hope everyone who has booked really enjoys it.

willow2 · 19/09/2006 18:42

Actually, number 12 is first...

thesmiths · 19/09/2006 20:55

well I suppose there are if you count the 2 villas with private pools but aren't they called castor and pollux and don't have numbers on the doors??

Anyway, the higher numbers are nearer to the pool.

Enjoy whichever you are in!!

willow2 · 19/09/2006 22:53

No, there are 12 small villas. Only 10 are rented out by Simply.

NikiA · 20/09/2006 13:32

Just got back on Sunday from Mousses and there are only 10 houses, with 10 being the first you come to from the car park and 1 furthest away from the pool.

Just testing to see if you'd fallen for Countess D's inability to count a while back... although she is adamant there are 12
