Hi everyone,

I need some advice. I have booked our first holiday to Spain at the end of June just before this summer hols hit. However my confidence is waining! My son will be almost 8 months by the time we go. He is just rolling over and can't yet sit unassisted.
I was just wondering if any of you had any tips on how to survive your first holiday. Anything you wish you had done the first time or knew about before you got on the plane that could have made it easier.
I should add he sleeps really well and is a very good boy food wise.
Any advice would be massively appreciated!

Thanks

We went to Italy when dd was 7 months. It was fine. Feed or dummy for takeoff and landings on the plane to help their ears adjust. I was ff so took sachets, a tupperware container and milton tablets. Made bottles with Evian water. We just went with the flow. Dd loved the pool, bobbing round in a rubber ring thing. She would normally have a nap around lunchtime in the buggy, giving us some quiet sunbathing time. Otherwise we took it turns to play/swim with her.

In the evenings we would feed her, bath her, put her in PJs and then go out for a stroll/drink. If she went to sleep/was happy to sit in buggy with a breadstick/was being entertained by friendly italian waiters, we would grab a meal. On the odd night she wouldn't settle, we picked up a pizza and put her to bed. In Spain you will see families, small babies included, out til really late. It was no problem - much harder when they are walking and you have to watch them like a hawk the whole time Grin
