daughter's 8th birthday in Florida - ideas?

We're off to Florida in August during which my daughter will turn 8. Thinking perhaps of makeover at Bibbideebobbidoo then lunch/dinner somewhere. Any tips? Have we left it too late? Is the only way to book makeover by phone??

TIA.

Book asap!! I called bbb to get appointment as could not find way to do online. If you get in to the one in mk that is great, if not (like me) book t rex for lunch after bbb in downtown disney. reviews look fab! Unfortunately we were too late for there but did get into rainforest cafe..

Hi hilda

We are going to Florida next year when DD will turn 7. Definitely going to book a character breakfast/lunch.

Bibbidy Bobbidy boutique looks very Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and DD was a bit distressed when we looked at some videos on utube with the scraped back hairstyles and dodgy make up on 4 year olds.

She said incredulously, "why are they like that Mummy?" I was very impressed Smile

If you do bbb then take your own dress.

Have you looked at Discovery Cove?

I'd definitely say a Disney park instead of Discovery Cove. Discovery Cove is amazing but you can't wear a birthday badge there so nobody knows it's your birthday. Whereas in somewhere like The Magic Kingdom, you have people wishing you a happy birthday everywhere you go and it makes them feel really special. My vote (and what we've done for DD twice now) would be Magic Kingdom with a character meal.

thank you. Have booked bbb in Downtown @ 11am (only time for mk was 4.30 & I thought she'd like to be able to enjoy the results all day). Now looking at lunch, T Rex fully booked. Looks like I can get Rainforest Cafe - any other suggestions? Then I thought perhaps mk for afternoon/evening (fireworks?). Does this sound like a good plan?
Thx!
