honeymoon in N France?

My partner and I are getting married this summer and afterwards would like to go away for a few days without our DS (almost 4) who would stay with his grandparents. Ideally, he and his grandfather could then join us once we all start to miss each other too much. We live in Holland, so somewhere not too far away (but somewhat likely to be sunny) would be ideal! Any recommendations?

Czech republic? Or would that be too far?
Paris is not exactly north France, but maybe a couple if days there?

We often use Holland as a base and go to Belgium or Germany. I'm afraid I really don't like Belgium, but maybe you'll like it?

Congratulations on you marriage, enjoy!

Thanks Dilidali. Paris is a good idea, but we would rather spend some time going for walks and relaxing - always difficult when there are sights to see etc. I'm having a hard time finding anywhere to stay that is beautiful inside and out and not way out of our budget... Have you had any good experiences in hotels / self-catering accommodation in that area?

Saint Quentin is nice, but it really depends what you envisage. What do you enjoy most in a holiday?

I had my honeymoon in Friesland, so...

Thanks, I've never heard of Saint Quentin, so will look that up. I think for the few days that we're on our own, I'd like to get up late, go for walks, have nice dinners and enjoy some level of luxury (i.e. Maybe a pool, nice decor, garden etc)
