Tickets for the Eiffel Tower in May half-term

DS1 really wants to go up the Eiffel tower when we're there and I'm not sure what to do. I know May is high season in Paris and it's bound to be a shit fight in the ticket queue and at the lifts. Anyone with experience of visiting May? I'm thinking we may have to just walk up to the first level, carrying DS2, who will be just 3, and accept that we're not going to get any higher ...

Top tip I got from here is the

montparnasse tower

It's a high rise block with a viewing level there's one inside and up some stairs to the roof. It's opposite the eiffel tower so you get fantastic views, not only of the eiffel tower but obviously also the whole of paris.

You go up by lift and It is not that busy. We went last year to the Eiffel Tower and it was heaving, queues galore. Got on a quick train to this place and it was brilliant. well recommended. There's also a little coffee shop for a quick refresh before onto the next place Smile

We went up the Montparnasse Tower last year, but thank you for the recommendation - it had amazing views over Paris and views of the Eiffel Tower!
