yes -dengue zone like everywhere tropical.

30% DEET the rest of the time, and cover up. Yes, I know DEET is a nasty chemical but believe me, dengue is MUCH nastier.

went to barbados with 14 month old last yr, didnt use a mosi net but did have ac in the bedroom (think that puts the mosis to sleep!) they werent interested in dd at all, she was not bitten once but me and dh were. we used boots tropical strength 50% deet repellent. dh was more lax than me on the repellant and on return was ill with fever and aching legs, did wonder if it was dengue! we are returning next month - have a great time!

IslandIsla - are you aware of the risks involved in a second attack of dengue?

symptoms (having seen it) - screaming pain for 24 hours, then improvement for a day or two, then painless swollen red rash, then exhaustion for weeks. I think there is a blood test but it wasn't needed in this case.
