Those standing men in the sea are near there. It's a bit mucky but quite nice. Go to Southport if gets too cold. Red Squirrel reserve nearby - be quick because they have a virus and are about to be wiped out. Marina at Crosby - bit crap. Crosby Marina, not our Marina.

I like the look of the standing men.

Maybe we'll go for a walk around Formby/squirrel reserve (wasn't that where Coleeeeen threw her wedding ring when she found out Wayne was doing the dirty with, ahem, older ladies)

then go to southport to give DS a go on the fair. IS southport worth a look then?

Southport is lovely. Formby is just a beach really, not a resort.

NotQuiteCockney · 09/08/2006 16:31

Yeah, the sand dunes are nice, but there's really nothing there. (We used to go stay in Formby, as DH's gran lived there.)

Southport is quite nice.

squarrel wood is cool
used to go as a kid at easter and roll eggs
squarrels used to run after them and eat them
might take my boys forgot about it
