Can you find out from the travel agents what will actually be in your room?

They will prob have baby food there, but it might not suit your dd's tastebuds, and might be diff to find and be more expensive. Personally I take whatever DS1 is used to with us, as it makes life easier and you don't worry as much. We've always taken sealed packets, and never had a problem

Are you going with a tour operator who offers pre bookable packages of supplies for infants ? I'm sure you could take all those things mentioned but they are bulky.

How long are you going for? I took cartons of formula to Spain when my DS was 9 months, 1 lasted a day and a bit as only on 2 bottles by then. Were very heavy though, put them in my handbag and DH hand luggage. With hindsight formula would have been easier to take in powdered form but was being paranoid about the water. Foodwise I mushed up we had in restaurants or gave him tinned spagetti/ baked beasn mashed up, potatoes. BUt we were self catering so a boit easier. Found some jarred food but was v limited

hi pinknfluffy, we went to Lanzarote when DS was 9 months - took formula powder, and mixed with Evian (it has one of the lowest sodium contents, which is what you need - if no evian, look for the mineral water with the lowest sodium content you can find). I did boil mine, but not sure if it was strictly necessary. You can sterilise with Milton tablets as well pretty easily.

As for food, we did a lot of mushed up banana, avocado, pear etc. along with a few jars. Is there someone you can talk to at the resort to find out what's available? I'd be surprised if they weren't used to dealing with babies, esp as it's all inclusive... DS took fine to Spanish baby food btw, and we mushed up veg, fish etc. when we were out as well, like Melrose.
