Family sun holiday with 4 year old DD

We're looking to go on our first sunny holiday with our 4 year old DD. We want to go in May or June, probably June as pools/sea would probably be too cold before that. Looking for a nice, sunny, relaxing holiday, self-catering, with a bit of kids entertainment. We want somewhere that feels safe (as we're two women), and will guarantee us (as much as is possible!) a happy stress free family holiday. Good local supermarkets would be handy as well if we go self-catering. Thought we ought to get a holiday in before DD starts school in September - whilst we can holiday for a reasonable price out of the school hols. Any advice/ideas much appreciated :)

Club Martha hotel in Majorca is really nice with plenty of pools and a playground. It's 5 minutes from the beach and shops too.

June is beautiful anywhere in the Med - flowers, long days, drunken Brit-kids not there, locals not exhausted, etc etc.

just remember that it is top UV time so no deliberate sunbathing.

Greece?

Thank you for those. That place in Alcudia looks lovely. Both of us have been to Majorca years ago and loved it. Maybe we should try Greek Islands though as not been there before. Any recommendations for that? Glad June is an ideal time to go, and thank you for the UV info, wouldn't have thought that, so very useful.

I've always quite fancied Cyprus but don't know much about it as a holiday destination.

Menorca? Short flight, lots of choice of departure times and airports, lots of self-catering with facilities accommodation. Lovely beaches.

Rhodes? Longer flight but still shorthaul. Again lots of S/C options with shared pools and lovely beaches.

Cyprus is quite British in places (they also drive on the left like us) but I haven't been in recent years so don't know what it's like currently.

Crete is another popular island.

Second Menorca. Perfect for family holidays with young children.

The Greek Islands are lovely, any where you can fly direct would be good; Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Kos, Zakynthos etc.
