After many years trying I have finally got the family to agree to try a 'hot' Christmas destination.
Me, dh and dsx2 who will be 15 and 11. We like the beach but get a bit bored of it after a week so excursions (although not boat as very sea sick!) and entertainment would be great. Possible 2 centre holiday maybe Mexico and then Atlantis Bahamas.
Budget is 10k. Can push this if needed.
Any suggestions would be very gratefully received :)

Florida keys Islamorada. I was there with 3 teens this time last year and they still talk about it as being the best holiday ever. temp never goes above 100 degrees even in summer and was a great mid 70's. tons to do and see. flew into Miami drove to Islamorada, went snorkelling in John Pennekamp, canoeing kayaking, trip to the everglades with a fab guide, cycle trails, beaches, key west bus tour that they all loved I could go on. stayed in a brilliant 3 bed apartment with manatees swimming up the canal in front of you. PM me for more details. easily within your 10K budget and so so laid back not like America/florida at all.

Mexico is nice Xcaret is a fab must do thst your kids would love and the night show there is spectacular. As is snorkelling with turtles. Maybe twin centre of mexico and the above idea. Trailfinders travel shop could sort it out for you
