we're off to lefkas, staying at mousses apts, the 1st 2 weeks in august. anyone else going then?

also, any tips about restaurants, beaches, places to visit would be great. is there much within walking distance of the apts? trying to decide if buggy board is a good idea. dd1 is 4 but still gets tired!

Also, with afternoon session you and DH can go for a late lunch by yourselves.

noonar · 11/07/2006 22:15

that's true willow. shame to miss 'the mn massive'! agree with all your points about the creche...but dd2 neds to sleep in the afternoon and wasn't sure if sh'e be relaxed enough to nod off there. she's not yet in nursery so will be a new experience. wonder if we should try to swap...

Lord no, if she's going to be asleep don't bother. You can have a siesta or take it in turns to lie by the pool. Or take the baby monitor and both lie out by the pool. (I'll get shot for suggesting it, but - depending which villa you are in - you'll only be metres away.)

you are lsoing weight to go
oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
am porky at the mo

CountessDracula · 11/07/2006 22:56

omg cod is this you?

We didn't use the creche apart from one morning when dd asked to go in so she could get her face painted. Last time we used it a bit, booked the afternoons but maybe used 4 times over 2 weeks. Maybe at the height of summer it would be harder to get random places though

willow2 · 12/07/2006 07:12

Cod, you so have nothing to fear.

ok washign is done by nanies
do i need to take ds3s buggy ( he is 3.4)

and do i need to take a beach brolly etc

willow2 · 17/07/2006 18:59

You get a beach brolly in each house. Take the buggy - good for getting them to the plane at Gatwick (you hand it in at the gate) also good for wandering around Lefkas town, especially in the evening. Then if DS falls asleep, you don't have to head back. He can just slee in the buggy until the rest of you want to go back.

God, I am so looking forward to having a pool to jump in to.

MissChief · 19/07/2006 12:48

btw - you also get uv tops & hats for the LOs (i think for all, tho maybe only if they're in the crech) so don't need to bring those.

willow2 · 19/07/2006 14:19

Seemed to do them for all the kids last year.

ocd · 28/07/2006 17:32

erm what else

beach towels are provided?

ocd · 28/07/2006 17:33

also we are coffee snobs
is there a cafetire?
shudder at the thought of instant

ocd · 29/07/2006 12:56

cafetiere

noonar · 29/07/2006 19:28

yeah, ocd i want to know about towels, beach and bath- are they provided?

also, have asked on another post about whether they've fenced the pool off yet, and if the patio doors are really that easy to open. read another thread suggesting pool safety was an issue. dd2 is 2 so am a bit concerned.

CountessDracula · 31/07/2006 11:09

The pool is pretty much fenced off and the patio doors are fine

You don't need a cafetiere they do excellent espresso at the bar (though I think there is a cafetiere if you want it)

ocd · 31/07/2006 19:12
