We are going to a wedding in Tunisia next June. Is it worth us staying on after the wedding? What could you recommend we see and do?

depends where you're staying

when we went to Tunisia, we went to the Sahara Desert; there's an amphitheatre worth going to; there is the place where the first Star Wars was filmed - the house that Luke lived in with this aunt & uncle; oh yes - some lake that is covered in salt so that at sunrise it looks amazing like snow....will look out more details if you like

Sounds good. More interested in natural attractions than wild nights. Oh, and won't say no to a bit of shopping as well.

bartering in the souks.. definitely the Sahara desert (bus or 4 X 4) and an oasis or two,... a truely magnificent country! 4 or 5 star cheap hotels abound for a bit of luxury.

try the trains BUT make sure you travel 1st class - when I went it was v basic

definitely barter in market places - they like that

Have to say, travelling in 2nd class was a fantastic (if brief) experience. Amazing to people watch. A brief experience as I was more or less hauled out into 1st class. They INSISTED, I was taken by the arm by an otherwise very very pleasant lady!
