Centrparcs Europe or similar type places???

Hello all
We are considering heading to centreparcs in Europe for our October half term but would prefer somewhere in Southern France or Italy, but unfortunately there are no parks in those locations. Does anyone know of any similar type parks or chains possibly in those locations. We really want somekind of chalet accommodation, plenty of opportunities to cycle and do indoor sports if the weather is poor, an indoor pool and some places to eat out. Don't need entertainment or kids holiday clubs.

Anyone have any ideas or can point me in the right direction of where to look.
TIA :-)

Italian Riviera

Apartments vs chalets, but indoor pool / activities etc. Loano itself is lovely - old city centre with lots of shops and restaurants and a long prom.

Pierre et Vacances ? Not chalets as such but some resorts open all year and have indoor facilities

Familien Hotels or www.kinderhotels.com?

Excellent family rooms and lots of activities

www.landal.com is also worth a look - like CP but cheaper. Many parks in the Netherlands, also Germany, Switzerland etc. We have been to Sonnenburg and Hoog Vaals. Good quality accommodation - and again lots of activities in and out door. Holland is excellent for cycling of course.

Thank you for all the speedy replys, and there are lots there to look into. I really like the look of a the Italien riveria, as we live in Switzerland so that is perfect to get some beach time along the med but other options if the weather isn't kind.

Please keep the ideas coming in, all appreciated.
xx
