Top up card for travelling

My eldest is off to South Africa for 10 weeks as part if a volunteering organisation. I would like to send her with a travel card that we can top up from the UK but I don't want her having to pay charges for using it either in a shop or at an ATM or if there are charges for ATM use for them to be minimal & i certainly dont want yo be charged fir topping it up! Any ideas?

You can get a travelex card that is = to a mastercard that you can top up online. I got mine in the airport but am sure you can get more info from the Travelex website.
